These Regulations address failures of the law to operate effectively and other deficiencies in devolved legislation on cross-border insolvencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. They include changes consequential on amendments made to the EU Regulation on insolvency proceedings ((EU) 2015/848) (“the EU Regulation”) by the Insolvency (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 (S.I. 2018/[]) (“the UK Regulations”).
